WALK LEADER: Trevor Williams
NO BOOKING REQUIRED: It is always nice to know if you are coming via email@example.com but by no means essential so if it takes your fancy on the day, please just turn up!
MEETING POINT: National Trust Main Car Park, Felbrigg Park. The National Trust have now lifted a lot of their restrictions, including their advance booking arrangements. Sexton’s Lodge car park is now open from dawn to dusk, as is the main car park, although parking fees remain in the main one for non-NT members. Do check out the NT website nearer the time though in case of any changes. As a consequence, we will be reverting to our traditional start time of 9.00am but we will stick with the meeting point being in the main car park for the time being.
DISTANCE: Approximately 2 mile circular walk.
FACILITIES: Toilets and sometimes takeaway / café facilities available at Felbrigg Hall
WALK DESCRIPTION: This walk caters for all levels of ability. We will take a leisurely walk around the Park & Lake, route dependent on the local bird and other wildlife likely to be present on the day.
We will be joined on this walk by club member Andrew Gorton who is taking part in the National Trust’s Move for Trees Challenge.
ADDITIONAL NOTES: For the safety and well-being of everyone, please continue to respect social distancing on this walk. Binoculars are recommended to gain full enjoyment from your birding and scopes can be useful. Stout footwear is recommended as paths may be slippery or muddy any time of year, particularly after rain. Everyone welcome - children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times but young people aged 16 and 17 may attend unaccompanied with prior written consent from a parent or guardian who has also supplied a phone number where they can be contacted in an emergency. Sorry no dogs except guide dogs.
