Josh Jones works for Bird Guides as their News Manager and has travelled extensively in the Western Palearctic, and beyond, in search of birds. He has been studying gulls since his teens. In this talk, Josh will take an in-depth look at the wide range of gulls occurring in Britain (and Ireland), provide identification tips for several regularly occurring species, show how to separate certain closely related species pairs and look at the occurrences of some rarer species, focusing particularly on the ‘large white-headed gulls. This is a not to be missed 'master-class' in gull identification.

Venue - Aylmerton Village Hall, NR11 8PX. Please park along Church Road or in the overflow car park at the church. Please ensure that local residents can still access their driveways and there is sufficient clearance for agricultural vehicles to use the road. A torch might also be helpful, as the village has no street lighting. To keep the club's carbon footprint small, please consider car sharing.
