Ann’s talk will take us on an extensive Australian journey from Sydney to Deniliquin via Capertee Valley, then on to Melbourne and west to the Strzelecki and Birdsville Tracks, before exploring the Great Ocean Road and finally flying to Tasmania. Ann began birding in the 1980s as a result of chauffeuring her two sons to Cliffe Marshes, Dungeness and the Isle of Sheppey, and thence further afield. She started twitching after failing to identify a Sociable Lapwing on the Dartford Marshes in 1985. Since retiring she has travelled widely in search of the more colourful species of birds, with more than a passing interest in mammals.

Venue - Aylmerton Village Hall, NR11 8PX. Please park along Church Road or in the overflow car park at the church. Please ensure that local residents can still access their driveways and there is sufficient clearance for agricultural vehicles to use the road. A torch might also be helpful, as the village has no street lighting. To keep the club's carbon footprint small, please consider car sharing.
