Weybourne Cliffs - Coastal Path (view only from public footpaths)

Image of Weybourne Cliffs - Coastal Path (view only from public footpaths) birding site

The Sandy cliffs rise east of the beach car park at Weybourne Hope. This recording area covers the Coastal Path to the point where it meets the path that runs north from Sheringham Park and includes all the fields up to the A149 coast road. The whole area south of the Coastal Path is sensitive so please keep to the path and use telescopes to scan the fields. There is no public access to the fields, Dead Mans Wood or the pill box that has been converted into a seawatching hide for Sheringham Bird Observatory. Towards the eastern end is Spalla Gap, where it is possible to access the beach so making an alternative route back to the beach car park. Spalla Gap was the site for the Bluethroat in May 19 but has turned up many rarities over the years but usually in the areas without access.
