Swafield is a small village on the Knapton Road from North Walsham. The main interest is the Paston Way which runs south and east of the village and can be accessed via Little London Road to the south or from a footpath opposite The Beeches on the Knapton side. The area between the Knapton Road and Paston Way is a wet valley which feeds water down to the Dilham Canal, west of Pigney's Wood. Habitats include large gardens with mature trees, stream, grassland, cultivated land with soft fruit and woodland along the Paston Way.
