Letheringsett & Ford

Image of Letheringsett & Ford birding site

The ford is on the south side of the A148 beyond the Watermill. From the ford there is a footpath east which leads to Spouts Hill. To the west a footbridge will take you to Little Thornage (Glaven Valley) and south is a track to a farm. Views of the Glaven are limited but the surrounding marsh could hold many birds which rarely get reported. Dark-bellied Dipper and Quail have been found in the past.
