Hevingham

Image of Hevingham birding site

Hevingham village is just on the west side of the A140 south of Aylsham. The village is largely surrounded by arable fields and meadows grazed by horses but to the south west along Brick Kiln Road there is a series of small fishing lakes. Immediately to the south lies Hevingham Park, an extensive area of damp, deciduous woodland, through the middle of which runs a public footpath. The park is south of the village where it is accessible along a narrow road. Laying on the southern boundary of the bird club area little is known about it but it appears the woodland warrants further exploration.
