Briningham

Image of Briningham birding site

A village on the B1110 Holt - Guist road about a mile NW of Melton Constable. The village is largely surrounded by arable fields but there are a few pockets of woodland. A circular walk of just over an hour is possible by parking near the church and walking west past the parkland around Briningham House to join the Holt Road. Continue south along the road, taking care with the traffic and turn left into Mill Lane, following this for about a mile until it rejoins Melton Road in the village. A pleasant quite walk, once off the B1110, with a good variety of birds to be found. Habitats: arable farmland, gardens, grassland, hedgerows, parkland and woodland.
